Student Nursing Assistant
As a student nursing assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply everything you’ve learned so far in your degree program. You will assist Registered Nurses (RN) on daily tasks, from organizing care for patients to preparing them for transfers and discharge. Your role will give you direct, hands-on experience under the supervision of an experienced RN. 

Requirements:
  • CNA certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing; No certification required for positions in Washington, D.C.
  • BLS certification
  • Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of Fundamentals of Nursing
Student Nurse Extern
The nurse extern program allows senior nursing students the opportunity to support the care and wellbeing of our patients under the direction of a RN. In this exciting program, your assigned RN will function as  a mentor, helping you develop the critical thinking skills needed to increase your confidence as a nursing professional. A nurse educator will also provide support to help ensure your learning needs are met, so you gain the best clinical experience possible.

Requirements:
  • CNA certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing; No certification required for positions in Washington, D.C.
  • BLS certification
  • Enrolled as a senior nursing student in an accredited nursing program
New-to-Practice / Nurse Residency
The nurse residency program is an immersive 12-month program that provides a series of structured learning and practice experiences designed to assist you in your transition from a student to a professional nurse and clinical leader at the bedside. We offer a lifetime of opportunity as you move through your nursing career, no matter the path you may take.

Requirements:
  • ADN or BSN
  • Successful completion of the NCLEX
  • BLS certification
Registered Nurse

Requirements:
  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL 
  • Active RN License
  • 1 year RN experience
  • BLS certification
