The HEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey of healthcare facilities on policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of their LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and associates.

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital gets record-breaking $10M gift
The gift, from Georgetown philanthropists Shelley and Allan Holt, will help equip the new pavilion with the latest technology to assist surgeons with planning and performing complex procedures, improve care for patients, and create new training opportunities.

Infusion Center

MedStar Health's Maryland infusion center for COVID-19 treatment opens, one of seven statewide 
Located on the MedStar Health Southern Maryland Hospital Center campus, the center provides monoclonal antibody infusions for recovering COVID-19 patients—keeping more inpatient beds open for sicker patients who need hospitalization.

Forbes recognizes MedStar Health as one of America's best employers for Washington, D.C. 
The designation was based on feedback from 80,000 anonymous surveys, ranking almost 1,500 employers on several factors including flexibility with telecommuting, professional growth opportunities, salary and compensation, and workplace safety.

Urgent Care

MedStar Health expands network of urgent care centers with acquisition of Righttime Medical Care 

 The acquisition brings 19 additional urgent care centers, including the HeadFirst clinics for sports injury and concussion care, and approximately 300 associates into the MedStar Health system. These urgent care centers will now be part of MedStar Health Urgent Care operations.
