MedStar Montgomery Medical Center
Today, MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, now a 138-bed hospital and a proud member of MedStar Health, remains true to its roots by offering sophisticated, high-quality treatment along with individualized care. As the first acute care hospital in Montgomery county, we have dozens of programs and a large array of services to treat and care for patients of all ages—from newborns through seniors. We are especially known for our advanced cancer care in partnership with the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute, our orthopaedic services through the MedStar Orthopaedic Institute, and our women’s health services through our Breast Health and Imaging Center.
We are proud of our Board and hundreds of community volunteers, who help us partner with generous donors to fund important initiatives to meet the healthcare needs of the community. We also have our Community Health division which assists patients when they go home from the hospital with in-home healthcare needs, and the Women’s Board, which was originally the "Ladies' Auxiliary" established in 1919 to raise funds for the hospital, scholarships, and more
High-quality, compassionate, and personalized care is our top priority. This means our team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing the best and safest care possible. We are constantly searching for new ways to improve the practices and services we provide.
