We now offer several clinical services devoted entirely to caring for patients who are dealing with behavioral or mental health issues. Our state-of-the-art inpatient Behavioral Health unit and Emergency department provide local, high-quality behavioral health services, crisis intervention services for patients in distress, and comprehensive psychiatric care for adults.

The American College of Surgeons has accredited our cancer center, which is testimony that it reaches the highest standards of quality. MedStar Harbor's full-service, EMS-certified Emergency Department offers the comforts of a suburban hospital. And, our Fetal Assessment Center is accredited by the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine.

To expedite care for all patients, MedStar Harbor recently opened FastTrack, a dedicated emergency center designed to provide rapid service for patients with minor illnesses and injuries. Our team of board-certified professionals trained in Emergency Medicine provides expert care, with an emphasis on maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
Keeping the babies in our community healthy
At MedStar Harbor Hospital, we offer extraordinary obstetrics care through our Women and Infants’ Center. We offer updated birthing rooms to give mothers the comfort of home, certified breastfeeding counselors, a Level II Neonatal Care Unit with 24-hour pediatrician coverage, fetal assessment and monitoring programs, genetic testing and counseling, and DNA sampling.
